Compatibility and Installation Notes
Use the SPEEDYBEEF405V5 Betaflight firmware target.
Do not install SPEEDYBEEF405V4 firmware or use F405 V4 wiring documentation.
The OX32 55A ESC supports 3–6S LiPo input and DShot300 or DShot600 control.
Use the current firmware-target defaults as the starting point for current-sensor configuration and calibrate the reading against known equipment when required.
Observe correct polarity when connecting the battery lead and external capacitor.
Confirm receiver, GPS, digital video, analog video, servo and LED wiring before applying battery power.
The servo output power source must be selected according to the voltage requirements of the connected servos.
Motor, propeller and battery suitability must be evaluated as a complete propulsion system.
FAQ
Is this the SpeedyBee F405 V5 or F405 V4 stack?
This is the F405 V5 flight controller combined with the OX32 55A 32-bit 4-in-1 ESC. It is not the F405 V4 BLS 60A stack.
Which Betaflight target should be used?
Use the SPEEDYBEEF405V5 target. Firmware intended for the F405 V4 must not be installed on this controller.
Which flight-controller firmware is officially specified?
Betaflight is the officially specified firmware for this product. Compatibility with other flight-control platforms should not be assumed without confirmation for the required firmware version.
What battery voltage does the stack support?
The flight controller and OX32 55A ESC support 3–6S LiPo input.
What is the ESC current rating?
The ESC is rated for 55A continuous current per channel and a stated maximum of 70A per channel.
Does the OX32 ESC support telemetry?
Yes. ESC telemetry is supported and connects to the flight controller through the UART5 telemetry input.
Does the flight controller require a microSD card for Blackbox logging?
No. The F405 V5 includes built-in 16MB flash storage for Betaflight Blackbox data.
Can the flight controller be configured wirelessly?
Yes. Built-in Bluetooth supports parameter tuning and compatible firmware operations through the SpeedyBee App.
Does the flight controller provide servo outputs?
Yes. S5 and S6 servo signal outputs are provided. The selected servo power supply must match the voltage requirements of the connected servos.
B2B Procurement FAQ
What exact model should be stated on a purchase order?
Specify SpeedyBee F405 V5 OX32 55A 30x30 Model Aircraft FC and ESC Stack. The manufacturer SKU shown for the complete stack is SB-F4V5-OX32-55-PRO-STACK.
How can buyers avoid receiving the F405 V4 version?
State F405 V5, OX32 55A 32-bit ESC and firmware target SPEEDYBEEF405V5 on the purchase order. Do not use the F405 V4, BLS 60A or SPEEDYBEEF405V4 descriptions.
Are the voltage tester and expansion boards included?
The supplied product images show multiple selectable configurations and optional accessories. Confirm the exact FC, ESC, cables, capacitor and accessory contents during quotation rather than assuming every pictured item is included.
Should the BEC current ratings be confirmed before ordering?
Yes. The supplied reseller specification image and the current manufacturer webpage show different 5V and 9V BEC current ratings. Confirm the rating for the offered hardware revision before purchase.
Is the SpeedyBee F405 V5 OX32 55A stack still available?
The manufacturer currently identifies this model as discontinued. Available quantity, production revision and product condition must be confirmed during quotation.
What should be checked during incoming inspection?
Verify the F405 V5 board marking, OX32 55A ESC marking, 30.5 × 30.5 mm mounting pattern, supplied accessories, connector condition and physical board condition before installation.
